Tom Holland for Governor
Here’s a quick quiz: Which candidate would you choose to be the next Kansas governor?
Candidate 1: A common-sense moderate with a proven track record of success.
Candidate 2: A well-known extremist with dangerous ideas about how to run our state.
If you picked Candidate 1, you’re not alone. There are lots of fellow Kansans who think like you do. That’s why this year’s race for governor is far from decided.
A large percentage of Kansas voters believe that Sam Brownback is too extreme, has been in Washington too long, and has lost touch with regular Kansans.
They’re right.
Right now, much of Brownback's lead in the polls is based purely on name recognition, something that will change quickly with your financial support.
Recent polling shows that when voters are equally informed about both Brownback and me, his lead shrinks considerably.
After a detailing of my background and plans for Kansas’s future and a demonstration of how Brownback’s records shows his support for Washington, D.C. values, I take the lead. In fact, when voters learn about me and my common-sense plans for Kansas, they favor me by a 45%-39% margin.
History shows us that, time and time again, Kansans have elected moderates over extremists.
If I have the resources to effectively communicate who I am, we can make sure we don’t put a right-wing extremist in charge of our common sense state.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Tom Holland
Democratic Candidate for Governor
